Do you psych yourself out from all the random golf instruction in your head? You can’t decide which detail to focus on and you end up choking or getting bound up.. We can’t forget about the athleticism of golf. In this golf tip why you should swing harder video we go over why you should swing hard. Why sometimes you just need to be loose and athletic while not worrying about the details. Things are going to move and stick. Let’s forget about the instruction for a second and not focus on doing things perfectly, but just hit the ball with some force now. Let’s get started!

I look forward to working with you much more in the future with Top Speed Golf. Good luck with your golf.

What if the faster swing sends the ball off the planet? That's mine issue

Demetrio Baltazar says:

Thanks Clay your a genius!

Thomas Fraser says:

Hi Clay. Did you try my Shadow Boxing technique I described in an earlier post to you? I agree 100 percent. We all need to make a powerful thrust with our right hip, foot, arms and golf clubs at the ball. No more pussy footing around. Ha Ha

Seriously the best instructor on YouTube. ๐Ÿ‘

I limit my self to prevent injury..think ahead sucks to have a bad back, protect it๐Ÿ˜‰

Would you ever change parts of your swing for a different club besides your driver? Say your 6 iron max distance and driver max distance, would you ever change parts of your swing from your drive, where you may be going for max distance, vs a 6 iron, again hitting for its max distance?

chebrneck says:

What app is that on your iPad?

littlewag7 says:

Is there a reason you hit -3 AOA with driver?

MimmGigg says:

I did the athletic approach, left knee bend on back swing, 45 hip turn, the shoulder load to a cobra max striking, the hitch knee bend and slight head dip on down swing, the follow through and. the ball finally, did not Slice and never went farther.
thanks. It took 4 months to figure it out and you did it. All the other SOBs, on here could not help me and are quacks.

ABshookme says:

I already tried it out for a couple of years ago, but back then it for me was a fail. Since then I have severely changed my technique. โ€“ Yesterday this video gave me inspiration to try it again. After second hit my spontaneous comment was โ€œHOLLY
SHITโ€, and that is even though Iโ€™m Danish. I was actually hitting the ball further. Because of that I also finally understood the effect of turning the left knee much better.

interstuff says:

What's the app you are using?

Ken Gardner says:

You have to give up control to get control.

Vernoy Jones says:

Great instruction, what app are you using on the iPad

stvenmini says:

How tall are you?

Laine Melrose says:

totally agree with this statement for my self if i concentrate to much on the swing i slow swing down and lead to all sorts of missed shots hooks or blocks,…swing hard it will generally end up in the area im aiming

Yes, Bubba Watson has no swing coach! We could learn from Bubba. At a certain point, you should forget swing mechanics and take what you got and make shots happen on the course. You can't think about swing keys, mechanics, tips etc. and play golf. Train and trust!

I like how you mentioned Bubba at the beginning. Couple months ago I was watching a PGA tournament and they were interviewing the players. They asked Spieth what he had been working on? His response was, "been really improving my short game." Then they asked Bubba what he had been working on? His response, "I haven't been working on anything, I just come out and play golf." They then referred to him as the "ultimate feel player." Just goes to show like you said, all these swing checkpoints can hold back athleticism. Great video once again!

Thanks Clay great video. This video is so spot on. I've only been playing golf for 6 months now. Just the other day I watched video of myself at the range from January. I had the natural ability to swing a club and hit the ball. I also did it with a lot of the qualities that are outlined in a "textbook" golf swing. They could have use obvious improvement but the characteristics were at least there. Of course my ball flight was undesirable so I turned to youtube for help. I have learned enormous amounts of information and somewhere feel like, just as you said, my athletic ability has been drowned in all that information somewhere. Now when I address the ball my brain is so scrambled with millions of swing checkpoints and swing thoughts that natural instinct to just pull the trigger is gone. Sometimes I wish I could go back and erase all this stuff out of my brain.
