“Better Spine Angle, Better Shots”
Patrick McCheseny
When a golfer “stands up”, or straightens the angle of their spine on the down swing it makes it harder to swing freely through the ball. As a result of this action the golfer will flip their hands at the ball causing an inconsistent strike with increased side spin. To practice making a better motion set up the handle of your push cart against your rear end when setting up to the golf ball. Simply hit balls while making sure that your rear end stays in contact with the cart throughout your swing until you have made contact with the ball. If you don’t have a push cart, or it is too tall for you, use your golf bag.
